Cat Beds: For Charity

A group of interior designers have teamed up with Traditional Home magazine to create unique cat beds for charity. All proceeds from the auction hosted by Charity Buzz will benefit Rachel’s Ray organization that helps animals in need.

You can vote for your favorite cat bed here. The clever “sardine tin cat bed” got my vote. Do you have a favorite? To date Rachel’s Rescue has raised over $6 million going toward food, medical supplies and treatments for these less fortunate animals.

Lenny Kravitz Interior Design

Rock star Lenny Kravitz turned interior designer is on the move with his residential and commercial design firm. He just completed designing the set for the Queen Latifah Show. I’m obsessed with the door design and the staircases back drop with the multiple gold Q’s . The overall design is chic and sophisticated with warm colors and textures. Kravitz not only designs interiors but also designs lighting for Swarovski, a chair line with Kartell, tiles for Le Ceramiche and a wallpaper line called Flavor paper.

I must say that if I didn’t live in the US I would be living in Canada. I love Canada and some most of the most talented interior designers are from there. One in particular is the lovely interior designer Samantha Pynn, I have been a fan of her work and loved watching her shows on HGTV. Her spaces are so fresh, bright and classy with a bit of whimsy.
