Beach Home Interior Design

Welcome July!  Lets get inspired with a couples beach home interior design in Bridgehampton NY.

Lovely red, white and blues in the living room area featuring a driftwood coffee table with modern surroundings.

Such an effortless coastal vibe with touches of textures and natural elements.

Guest bedroom couldn’t be more inviting with such a comfy and organic feel.  Love the hanging pendant over the modern dresser.

A fun bedroom with bunk beds and red white and blue accents for the couple son.

Aqua walls with gold and acrylic accents for their daughters room is so fresh and pretty.

The master bedroom continues with the navy blue grass-cloth wallpaper, capiz chandelier and wooden four-post bed while the high ceilings makes a grand statement.

The children’s bright playroom features a knotted Atelier 688 bulb fixture with a mix of modern chairs and ties in with the textured baskets for storage.

When I was a little girl,” says Marisa Tomei, “I wanted to live in a Fred Astaire townhouse and dance, dance, dance.”  This Academy Award winning actress has always been one of my favorites and I have to say I love her style!

Sophistication, Brazilian, Moroccan, South African and a touch of Palm Springs. Talk about an eclectic mix that Marisa has collected through the years. When she isn’t scouring flea markets and thrift stores, such as New York’s Housing Works, she surfs the Internet for design finds on eBay, Live Auctioneers, and other sites. “After working long hours on a set, I like to see pretty things. It helps me to wind down.”

A 19th-century painting above a side table by Lillian August and an 1800s inlaid chair found at Housing Works in the library; the wall hanging beyond is of a horsehair fabric by John Boyd Textiles. A Cole & Son wallpaper lines the interior of an Empire cabinet in the master bath; the sink and fittings are by Waterworks, the mirror is by Made Goods, the sconces are by Aerin, and the wallpaper is by Sister Parrish Design.

A stellar dining area and the chandelier! Chairs from HousingWorks surround a vintage marble-topped dining table found on eBay; the chandelier is by Lindsey Adelman, and the curtains are of a Pollack fabric.

In the master bedroom, a pair of 1940s fabric chairs, purchased at auction, is covered in a fabric by Christopher Hyland, the bed is dressed with a throw and pillow by Rosemary Hallgarten, the brass lamp and Murano glass light fixture are vintage; the fireplace mantel is St. Laurent marble, the curtains are of a Kravet fabric, and the walls are painted in Fine Paints of Europe’s Black Plum.

Naomi Watts New York City Apt

“One thing I’ve learned,” Watts says, “is when it comes to big renovations, no one gets an easy ride.”   This beautiful living room and the smart layout of furniture are a fresh approach.

Colorful Interiors

The September issue of House Beautiful features a 1930″s Long Island home with colorful interiors and dashes of Hollywood Regency and the Far East.  The home owner really pushed for these interiors and I have say I love them all.

House Beautiful Acid Green

I’m loving the acid green walls in this living room designed by interior designer Catherine Brown Paterson

House Beautiful orange-roomThe home office is cheery with bright orange walls with upholstery in Trina Turk and Lilly Pulitzer fabrics for a vibrant vibe.

House Beautiful-pink-room

The dining room is striking with fuchsia chairs and draperies and the Clarence House Flower Quince wallpaper is to die for, love it!

House Beautiful yellow-room-tableThe kitchen is bright with yellow touches as the kitchen cabinets offer a color break to ease the eye. Loving the bamboo ceiling light above the dining table and the bar-stools.

House Beautiful-yellow-bathroom-sinkThe powder room has a citrus-yellow wallpaper in a bamboo print. So pretty and fresh against the dark counter top.

House Beautiful-Blue-living-room

The master bedroom is in a favorite color “aqua” I just can’t seem to tire of it and it makes me happy. I love the darker aqua colors within the room and the window treatment fabric.
